I've never been hugely into setting sprays, mostly because I've never found one that actually works for me and keeps my make-up on all day.

However, when I saw Huda Beauty's new Easy Bake Setting Spray, £28, I knew I had to try it out. The, £34, is easily my favourite loose powder, and if the spray was going to be anything like that, I'd immediately be adding it into my everyday make-up bag. And that's exactly what I did.

The spray boasts all the blurring, smoothing, and makeup-setting benefits of the Easy Bake powder in a bottle. It's formulated with rice starch that absorbs oil and blurs pores, as well as mineral clay to control shine and five different hyaluronic acids to ensure the face stays moisturised all day long.

Praising her new product, Huda Kattan said: "I've never used a setting spray that controls my shine as well as this one, and you guys know I don’t use filters - I need products that do it for me and that’s exactly what this does".

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Spray

This setting spray will smooth, blur & lock makeup for 16 hours, leaving a natural finish that’s transfer and sweat proof.

Pros

Seals in make-up all day long; lightweight mist; leaves a natural finish and subtle blurring effect

Cons

Spray nozzle can be a bit stiff, making it hard to get an even mist

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Spray Review

I've been testing the setting spray on a few different occasions to see if it really held up and locked my makeup in place. I tend to opt for lighter coverage make-up, however, I still want it to last all day long.

Firstly, my favourite aspect of the spray is the natural-looking finish it leaves the skin. My skin is on the oilier side, meaning I use quite a lot of powder to set my base products in place. This can leave my skin looking a bit matte and cake-y. However, the Easy Bake Spray instantly refreshed my skin, leaving a natural, slightly dewy finish without looking overly greasy.

I've also struggled to find a setting spray that actually locks in make-up and makes it last the entire day. To test this part out, I used the Easy Bake Spray to set my make-up in place for a 21-degree day in London, including a very hot pub garden visit, and my make-up did not budge.

The product claims to lock make-up in for 16 hours, and I can confirm it definitely does. This sealed its spot as my new go-to beauty product, and firmly cemented itself a place in my make-up bag.

My only criticisms are with the packaging rather than the formula itself. The spray nozzle button can get a bit stiff and hard to push down, which can result in an uneven mist across the face. My personal preference is a continuous mist nozzle for a face spray.

As I previously said, I've never really used setting sprays before. However, if you're looking for slightly more affordable ones, the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Prime + Correct + Set has rave reviews from shoppers and is priced at £14.50 here. The e.l.f. Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray, £9.83 here, has also been praised for leaving a 'dewy and natural' finish.
