Is using Google Flights good? ›

Google Flights is a reliable, legitimate, and trustworthy site for flight searching. In general, its prices are accurate and reflect the same prices as you'll find on the airline websites and other OTAs. However, in rare instances, Google Flights prices are wrong, or more accurately, the price info is outdated.

Look at weekday travel

Avoiding travel on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays could save you some cash on booking flights year-round. In general, according to the Google Flights numbers, flying on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday has historically been 13 percent cheaper than over a weekend.

Google will stop offering the option to book a flight directly through the site after Sept. 30 for most of the world. The search engine will then similarly end the option in the United States after March 31, 2023, the company confirmed to Travel + Leisure.
